1965 MERCEDES 230 SL PAGODA AUTO

This extremely smart example of Mercedes-Benz's ‘Pagoda’ era (W113) SL model was registered in March 1965 and features the marque's 2308cc six-cylinder engine of 148bhp. The vendor acquired the car over 20 years ago and is only the second owner. During his custodianship, it was used both in London and abroad, being restored in Spain during 2012. Upgrades on the car include a stainless steel exhaust. The mileage is recorded as 87,035 miles. As an historic vehicle, the Mercedes is now MoT-exempt; its last expired in April 2008 after having been tested the previous year at 86,928 miles. There's a large amount of history including present and past V5Cs, many British and Spanish invoices dating back to the 1960s and photos of the restoration. The original green logbook is present, parts catalogue as is the original book pack with owner's manual, UK distributor and dealer booklet and service book. There's also a handwritten notebook of work done during the restoration, spanning 2011 to 2012. The MoT certificates date from 1990, 1993 to 1995, 1997 to 1998, and 2000 to 2003,
