1969 FORD ESCORT MKI

1,600cc. This Ford Escort MK I has been fitted with a Lotus twin-cam engine and is a road legal race car. The race tuned 172 bhp engine runs on twin Webers, it has a rebuilt 4-speed gearbox, 4 pot Wilwood calipers, full roll cage, 13" Ultralite alloys, limited slip diff and boot mounted rally fuel tank. The fire extinguisher systems, new race seat and harness are all in date with the FIA. 

The vendor purchased this car in 2022 to race in the Swinging 60's but due to other racing commitments, including a Caterham and an MG B, can not find the time to commit to a third venture.

It comes only with a current V5, previous sales details and one receipt for seat belt kit, steering wheel and fire marshall kit. Eight registered owners.
