Our vendor informs ACA that this Land Rover 101 General Service Vehicle is running and driving very well, benefitting from a recent new canvas.

Information provided to ACA explains that Chassis number 95601059A, Air Ministry registration 00 AM 92 was manufactured on the 14th October 1977 as a 12 volt chassis cab vehicle under contract WV 12074 to be converted as a four stretcher ambulance by Marshalls of Cambridge but was converted as a G/S with their pattern pop riveted rear body, then placed into storage. In 1983 it was delivered to Ashchurch main vehicle depot and taken into service with the RAF in July of the same year. In August 1985 it was issued to 18 base workshops, Bovington for the fitting of Rapier launching equipment to be one of 35 24 volt Firing Unit tractors for the Rapier missile for the United States Airforce and then issued to RAF Honington in November 1985 where it served with 20 Squadron RAF Regiment, RAF 6th Wing defending USAF bases at RAF Alconbury and RAF Bentwaters until it was struck off and sold at Peterborough Auctions in May 1998

Comes with a repair operation manual and a few old MoT's and invoices. We are waiting for the V5 to be forwarded to ACA. 68,549 recorded kilometres
