Built by Land Rover as a gloss Bronze Green Chassis Cab Land Rover 101 Forward Control during November 1977, this vehicle initially went into storage before being converted to a four-stretcher ambulance by Marshall of Cambridge. It entered service with the British Army in July 1982, largely serving with Territorial Army units before it was sold off in June 1998. It received a civilian registration in October 1998. The vendor bought it in 2013 as a restoration project, working on it from that date onwards and servicing it regularly. He reports that the vehicle runs well, but has lately spent time unused. The odometer shows 49,030km and the last MoT expired in January 2023, after having been tested the previous year at the same total. Paperwork accompanying the Land Rover includes the V5C, military history records, technical manual, commercial parts catalogue, and two MoT certificates from 2020 and 2022. There's also a copy of the book Land Rover Military One-Tonne by James Taylor.
