1962 HILLMAN SUPER MINX CONVERTIBLE

The vendor has owned this 1962 Hillman Minx Convertible, registered in December of that year, for nearly two years and tells us that a lot of work has been carried out during that time, including the brakes, wheel bearings and the cylinder head, which has been rebuilt and converted to unleaded. The car is described as being reliable and was driven 80 miles to the sale; it was restored several years ago but, in the words of the vendor, it has ‘held up quite well’ although it was previously off the road for some time. The hood is described as in good condition. Very recent work has included a service. The odometer shows 73,757 miles, although the vendor is aware of a previous speedometer change. Being an historic vehicle, the Super Minx is MoT-exempt; its last expired in June 2018 after having been tested the previous year at an indicated 73,018 miles. 

Paperwork accompanying the vehicle includes the V5C, a number of invoices, some club literature, a period advert and some brochures. There's also a second place club award shield from 1996 and the original stamped chassis number, presumably removed during restoration.
