This MGB is quite a departure from  the norm. Aside from its modified, bumperless body, it also a Mazda Eunos (MX-5) MkI 1.8 130bhp engine and gearbox fitted, although it previously had a small block Ford V8 fitted, hence an enlarged gearbox tunnel. The radiator has been uprated, as has the anti-roll bar and some bushes. There are also new brakes throughout. The car has Mazda MX-5 dials fitted in MGB dial housings, an ECU and heater blower behind the glovebox, ancillary fuses behind the centre console, an MX-5 fuel pump in an MGB tank and MX-5 front seats. The vendor reports that it “goes very well and revs to over 7000rpm like a Mazda MX-5". He also says that it has a “very good, solid shell, with the bonnet scoop steel-fabricated, not fibreglass.” The car was registered in April 1971 and has 98,168 miles showing on its odometer. As an historic vehicle, the MG no longer requires annual MoT testing. Its desirable numberplate is original and still transferable. The documentation with the MG includes the V5C, and two driver's handbooks.
