Lot Number: 217

  • V5 Present
  • MoT Exempt
  • Chassis number: 812122
Described as an exceptional example of a very complete and authentic older restoration. Re‑registered in 1984, this Rover was retained by the same owner from then until 2017. Although MoT exempt, the car was issued frequently until 2017 and has covered only 392 miles in the last two years. The vendor advises that underneath it is sound and rust‑free, the coachwork has a deep patina and inside the leather and wood are in lovely condition. Mechanically it is described as having a sweet engine once it is warm and the Xply tyres are in good condition. It retains many interesting period features including Luvax‑Bijou automatic chassis lubrication, semaphore trafficators, free‑wheel, opening wind‑screen, sun‑roof, rear window blind and under dash tool tray all typical of quality cars of the period. Some of the documents contained in the extensive history file relate to the car's first plate of EMA 575 including continuation buff log book, seventeen MoTs, restoration photographs and receipts, more recently it has MoT history from 2006 to 2017. The original owner's handbook, workshop manual and some spares are also included. The mileage is recorded at 62,709.
