The Nissan Mitsouka Viewt probably requires some explanation. Mitsouka is a Japanese car company with a reputation for building somewhat unconventional and idiosyncratic cars that echo the styling of European and American classics. The Viewt was launched in 1993, using the second generation K11 Nissan Micra as its base. However, the front and rear ends were replaced by panelling resembling that of a Jaguar MkII. Inside, the Micra interior remained much the same, but wood and leather could be added at extra cost. These unusual retro luxury superminis have become cult classics, with quite a following in Japan and elsewhere. This 1,275cc version, with automatic transmission, seems to have come to the UK in 2003, with its most recent British owner acquiring it in 2004. It has some wood on the dashboard, but the seats are fabric as per a standard Micra. The car would benefit from some TLC, with obvious blemishes being a worn steering wheel rim, dirty rear seats, some areas of lacquer peel, a dent in the offside rear wing and minor rust showing ahead of the rear wheel arches. However, it runs and drives well, and has a valid MoT until March 2022. The odometer shows 114,498 miles, which is largely supported by the MoT history. The paperwork file includes some Japanese documentation, and a handful of invoices and MoT certificates (2003, 2004, 2005, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2018 and 2020).
