The Mini Checkmate was part of the Racing Green and Flame Red limited edition family of the models, which paved the way for Rover to re‑launch the Cooper. It is believed that only 2500 were built, in four colours, with black being the rarest shade. Distinctive features included a white roof, Minilite wheels, three‑clock dash and sports trim. This example sustained light damage in 2003 and had a Category C insurance claim against it. However, according to the vendor, it will run and drive, and comes with most parts to finish off the repair including the door skin, sill A‑panel wing, rear panel, and other loose parts inside the car. Mileage is 75,507, although this is not warranted, and there is minimal paperwork.
