Rover's stately P4 range had a lengthy production run from 1949 to 1964, and was available with a variety of different engines, with the model number broadly equating to the horsepower. In the case of the 100, 16,521 of which were built between 1959 and 1962, the output was 93bhp, but presumably, Solihull decided that 'Rover 93' sounded less compelling than 'Rover 100'. The big six‑cylinder saloon was capable of 100mph though.

This Rover 100, was registered in January 1961 and has five former keepers recorded on its V5C. The odometer reading is circa 25,000, although this isn't warranted.

While paperwork is on the sparse side, there are MoT certificates from 2010, 2009, 2008, 2007 and 2006 (when the mileage was recorded as 22,195 miles). There's also a semi‑complete brake servo repair kit (with instructions) plus tax discs from 2005 to 2011 and the original owner's handbook.

Overall, the two-tone grey car, with red leather interior displaying a welcoming patina, is very presentable. The vendor tells us that the vehicle has recently had a brake overhaul.
