The Anglia 105E is regarded by many as the first 'modern' small Ford, with its overhead‑valve Kent engine, nimble performance and handling, electric wipers and sharp styling (especially its very distinctive reverse‑rake rear window).

This two‑tone blue and white example was registered in July 1965 and has had 10 former registered keepers according to the V5C. The vendor acquired it 16 years ago. Although largely standard, and still with its 997cc engine, the car has been slightly lowered and now sits on Rostyle wheels rather than the usual steel wheels with hubcaps. The body looks to be in very good order, as does the interior with its blue vinyl upholstery. There is a slight tear along one seam of the front passenger seat though.

The current V5C is present, as is the MoT certificate from 2017, the last time the vehicle was tested as it is now exempt for age reasons. There are further certificates from 1996 (when the mileage was 67,666), 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2016. Current mileage, indicated by the odometer, is 84,961. Assorted invoices largely dating from the early part of the 21st century include one for a partial restoration - sills, floor sections, door and quarter panel repairs and parts of the front wings and boot lid, plus a respray - during 2001 at a cost of £2132.62.
