Yamaha's XJ600 was a lightweight motorcycle built between 1984 and 1991, sporting a 598cc four‑cylinder double overhead cam engine of 72bhp. Among the notable features of the model were the displacement, being the first Japanese inline‑four motorcycle with a 0.6‑litre capacity, as well as having mono‑shock rear suspension.

Having been registered in January 1992, this XJ600 was one of the final ones to appear. The current odometer reading is 23,213; while this isn't warranted, a check of the online MoT history reveals that the total in February 2008 was 15,212 miles, so in the last 13 years, this bike has covered just 8000 miles.

There isn't a great deal of paperwork, but the V5C is present, indicating 16 former owners. Bills include one for steering head bearings in 2015 and there are a handful of recent MoT certificates. The last MoT  expired on the 11 December 2019.

The motorbike's condition is very good for a near 30‑year‑old machine, with just a few signs of general wear apparent. The vendor tells us that the bike runs and rides.
