Although a Japanese product, all 2001 to 2005 Type Rs ‑ the high performance version of the Civic, based on the seventh generation of that model and known as the EP3 ‑ were built at Honda's factory in Swindon.
This 2004 example, registered in March of that year, has covered 103,780 miles and has an MoT (with no advisories) valid until the end of August 2022. The service book has nine stamps up until 76,190 miles (18 April 2014). The vendor reports that the six‑speed manual transmission car 'drives exceptionally well' and also features a Cobra Sport exhaust, coilovers, Mugen rear spoiler and gearknob, Beaks rear subframe brace and an induction kit. There's also a spare set of keys.
The paperwork folder includes the V5C (recording three former keepers), various recent invoices for work including a new battery during 2018 and two new Falken tyres later on in the same year, and a selection of MoT certificates which, combined with the service book, help confirm the indicated mileage. The car presents well inside and out.
