Lot Number: 336
Result inc Premium: £450
  • V5 Present
  • Chassis number: LAAATFN5149000062
The Jialing JL250‑TB four‑stroke water‑cooled single‑cylinder automatic bike was a Chinese version of the Honda Helix, the first of the 'twist and go' super scooters. Jialing purchased the rights, machinery and left‑over machines from Honda and made improvements to the model.

This example, registered in July 2010, was purchased by the vendor in 2010 as a project and he had the bike ready for the an MoT when a fault developed with the digital speedometer that  he was unable to rectify. Due to other projects, the bike was stored in a garage and has only just been retrieved. The vendor tells us that the bike runs well, but could do with the carburettor cleaning and servicing and the petrol in the tank changing. The speedometer requires either attention or replacement ‑ the vendor believes they are around £70 on eBay. The left‑hand front indicator has also stopped working and a new battery is needed.

The V5C is present and the odometer reading is 12,362, albeit unwarranted.

The last MoT expired in July 2010. In April of that year, the bike was the subject of a Category C insurance loss ‑ extensively damaged but repairable; however the insurer decided not to repair.
