Lot Number: 401
Estimate: £27,000 - 32,000
Our vendor, and ex BTTC driver has provided us with the following narrative:

Built by GR Motorsport in 2000 as a production BTCC car. GR Motorsport ran four of these cars, winning the production BTTC team championship. Matt Jackson, Gareth Howell and Rick Kraemer raced the other cars but Richard Meins raced this one, except at Knockhill where Gordon Shedden ran it in his BTTC debut, getting a first and second in class and 5th overall. He is now a three times BTTC Champion and current driver.

Purchased four years ago in parts, once its history was unearthed it was restored back to its original colour scheme and Scholar Race Engines rebuilt the engine. The car will require light recommissioning before being used, he believes it to be potentially eligible for the Silverstone Classic and Super Tourers. Further research leads him to believe that the car raced in Macau on three occasions.
The original build cost for each of the cars was close to £100,000 back in 2000
