1968 Fiat 500 LHD
Lot Number: 640
Result inc Premium: £7,128
- V5 Present
- MoT Exempt
- Chassis number: 110F1942504
While this Fiat 500 was built in 1968, it only came to the UK in 2001. However, it remained unregistered for some years, until a £6500 restoration began in 2013. It was finally British‑registered in 2015, since when very little distance has been covered. Suffice to say, with so few miles done since its rebuild, the tiny Fiat remains in excellent condition throughout.
The indicated figure on the odometer is 73,621km. There is no current MoT; as an historic vehicle, the Fiat no longer requires one. Its last was in March 2015, at a recorded 73,241km.
The history folder includes the V5C, MoT certificate from 2015, and Fiat 500 Club certificate of provenance stating that the car was manufactured in 1968. There are a few 21st century bills, mainly from classic marque specialist Ricambio International Ltd, for parts used during the restoration amounting to several thousand pounds. In addition, there's a parts catalogue and wiring diagram, along with some low quality images of the restoration in progress and after its completion.
