With the MGA only announced on 26 September 1955, this left hand drive example   finished in August of that year and then dispatched to the USA   is a very early car and has some important differences to the later cars such as a pre production boot floor. This one returned to the UK in 2010 but has not yet been UK registered. It is being sold for restoration.  

It is thought to be original and has a very early engine. BP15 GB 176, which appears to have never been out of the car, in the opinion of the vendor. He believes it may be one of the 10 oldest MGAs still in existence. According to current Mille Miglia Register regulations, this very early MGA is eligible for this world‑famous historic event, as the MGA 1500 Roadster model took part in the original Mille Miglia events in 1955 ‑1957, making this a very rare opportunity to own a car that is eligible for this exclusive event.

The paperwork file includes the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust factory record certificate, US certificate of title, shipping forms and information, and a photocopy of the original chassis plate. The plate has been removed for safe keeping but will come with the car.
