1958 MG Magnette ZB

Lot Number: 561
Result inc Premium: £3,348
- V5 Present
- MoT Exempt
- Chassis number: KATU1334407
The vendor purchased this 1958 MG Magnette ZB at the start of 2020, becoming only its fifth owner according to the V5C. He tells us that the car requires some recommissioning; a dynamo is needed, although the engine does start with jump cables, and the car drives. The bodywork and upholstery will also need attention.
The 1489cc MG was registered in October 1958 and is showing 99,756 miles on its odometer. Its last MoT expired in July 2019, but as an historic vehicle, it no longer requires annual testing.
The history folder includes the current V5C plus some older ones and the original buff logbook. There's also the owner's manual, and a complete set of MoT certificates from 1970 to 2005, then 2007 to 2009 and finally the 2018 test certificate. In addition, there's a copy of the MG Owners' Club magazine from 2004 with a brief article on the car. A set of spare keys comes with the vehicle.
The MG has lost its original '5010 E' registration, with its current number, '522 XVC' being non‑transferrable.
