A full stainless steel exhaust has been fitted, as have genuine Wolfrace alloy wheels and adjustable shock absorbers. A new water pump and anti‑roll bar links were fitted in 2020, while in 2019, £2800 was spent fitting a replacement gearbox, propshaft and having the rear axle refurbished.

The Scimitar, which was registered in January 1971, shows 23,801 miles on its odometer (which is probably 123,801 miles judging by the history file, however, there is evidence of it having stuck in 2021, which seems to have been rectified) and has an MoT until May 2023, even though, as an historic vehicle, it no longer requires testing. The pick-up is stated by the owner to drive very well, with the overdrive working as it should.
The history folder is an extensive one, with the current V5C as well as some previous ones plus nearly every MoT certificate back to 1973. The invoices and other paperwork date from 2021 right to the early days of the car, including some correspondence with Reliant itself regarding teething issues when the car was new. There's also the JVC radio instructions, owner's handbook, some old tax discs and some new Scimitar badges. A hefty Reliant workshop manual also comes with the vehicle.
This is definitely a rare and unusual classic that should provoke a lot of interest at shows, as well as be quite practical as well with its pick-up rear section.
