This Cayman Blue Rover 820 Vitesse Coupe, with grey leather interior and black piping, was registered in January 1998 and sold via Hartwells of Bristol. It features the 200bhp 1998cc engine as also used in the Rover Tomcat coupe, matched to a five‑speed manual gearbox and Torsen limited slip differential. Being a higher spec executive Rover, the car features a high standard of equipment such as twin electric seats, sunroof and CD changer (all of which are working). The 820 is considered the most desirable of the coupe range, being the only manual transmission model.

The current owner purchased the car in October 2013 and carried out extensive work to get the car into the excellent condition it is in today. It was given two new (factory) wings and a replacement door. A replacement sill was specially fabricated. After that, the car was resprayed after being stripped and corrosion‑treated.

A wheel refurbishment was also carried out and Pirelli tyres fitted all around. The brakes were rebuilt complete with new discs, the cylinder head refurbished and exhaust studs repaired (a common issue with the engines). Additional work involved recoring the radiator, replacement front suspension bushes and rebuilding the gearbox. The vendor notes that, with the air conditioning having been done back in 2014, it would probably now benefit from being recharged with gas.

The Rover is now only being sold because the vendor has too many cars and feels the Rover is now not getting used as much as it deserves. It has covered very few miles over the last four years. The odometer currently shows 102,351 miles and the MoT is valid until February 2023.

Included in the history folder are the V5C and invoices from throughout the car's life. There's also the original leather book pack, owner's handbook, radio instructions, old tax discs, three keys and remote fobs, and radio code. The MoT certificates date from 2002 to 2008, 2010, 2013 to 2014, 2016, 2018 and 2020 to 2022. The service book is stamped up to 41,247 miles in December 2002.
