This 1961 Sunbeam Alpine Roadster was dry‑stored for 21 years by the current recorded keeper (who had it for 25 years), and has only been recently recommissioned. As well as its standard features, the 1592cc car, registered in June 1961, also has an overdrive gearbox, factory hard‑top and Brantz International 2 tripmeter. Five former registered keepers are noted and the car is showing 13,194 miles on its odometer, although this isn't warranted.

The recent recommissioning work undertaken in March of 2022 includes rebuilding the brake master cylinder, replacing both front calipers, new front and rear brake hoses, the handbrake linkage stripped, cleaned and greased, the rear wheel cylinders stripped and inspected (but not replaced, as they had only recently been fitted) and the DOT4 fluid replaced. Regarding the fuel system, the petrol tank was removed and chemically cleaned, all fuel lines replaced, and fuel filters added. The engine was serviced with new oil and filter plus a new air filter, points, condenser distributor cap, rotor arm and HT leads.

The paperwork folder includes the V5C, Haynes and Autopress workshop manuals, Brantz tripmeter brochure and instructions, a few old bills and MoT certificates from 1994, 1995, 1996, 1998 and 2000. The mileage at the June 1996 MoT test was shown as 11,938. There's also an old 1996 Sunbeam Supreme parts catalogue and price list as well as a number of long-distance rally brochures, although there's no evidence of the car having participated in any of these.
