A bereavement sale. This Alfa Romeo 2600 Spider was originally registered to the main agents, Mangoletsi, Knutsford, before being sold to its first private owner a week later on the 15th April 1965. The vendors father, an Alfa enthusiast and club member, purchased the car in 1979. It was retained in storage until sympathetically restored between 1991 and 1993, at a cost in excess of £30,000, by Brookside Garage, Sandy and the car is described as remaining remarkably original. A factory hard‑top was also acquired at the same time. The car was taken off the road in 1999 and placed in storage once more where it remained until its recent surfacing. Its history file contains the original green log book, restoration photo album, club magazines and documentation, original service book stamped in 1966, Brooksides 1991 restoration quotation and detailed invoices, original sales brochures, manuals and MoTs.
