After 23 years of mid‑engined two‑seater 12‑cylinder Ferraris, the 550 Maranello of 1996 to 2001 marked a return to the front engine format for the Italian supercar manufacturer, with its interior and exterior design by marque favourite Pininfarina. This Rosso example, with Crema hide, Rosso stitching, Rosso hide dashboard and centre console and Rosso carpets, was registered in April 1997 and has had five previous registered keepers. Its odometer shows 59,239 miles and it comes with a fresh MoT valid until August 2023.

The car is in very good condition inside and out. Its first owner was Chris Meek of Titan Properties, the owner of Mallory Park motor racing circuit. He had £600 of additions optioned ‑ including red leather to the upper dashboard and steering wheel ‑ on top of the £143,684.88 list price.

The paperwork folder includes the current and past V5Cs, plus MoTs from 2005 to 2016 plus 2018. There's also a collection of old tax discs plus a large stack of invoices dating from the early part of the 21st century onwards. The original brown leather book pack is present with owner's handbook, alarm system instructions, dealership guide, and service book, with entries up to 54,202 miles in December 2019. The cambelts were also changed at this time. A spare set of keys also comes with the Ferrari.
