This is a matching numbers V12‑powered Series III E‑type, according to the vendor. Registered in August 1973, its first owner had it from 1973 to 1999. It has since passed through a further four custodians, including the vendor.

The car was restored in 2003, after having been stored for 15 years. The colour was changed from white to the current Signal Red at the same time. Although, as an historic vehicle, there is no need for the Jaguar to be annually tested, the E‑type has a current MoT, valid until May 2023. As a 19-year-old restoration, the paint does now have some imperfections; mainly swirl marks from polishing, although there are other areas of cracking and spots that have been touched-up. However, overall, the car presents well inside and out.

There's a very extensive and well-organised paperwork file that includes the current and past V5C, owner's manual, and a generic service booklet that shows regular servicing - with nine stamps - from 62,628 miles in July 2013 through to June 2021 at 74,319 miles. There's also catalogues from SC Parts and SNG Barratt, Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust production record trace certificate and a very large stack of bills back to the restoration in 2003, testifying to lots of care and money spent. The MoT certificates date back to the same period too. An original lubrication chart and sales brochures complete the file - although there is, perhaps a little bizarrely, a transfer sheet of bullet holes too. A spare set of keys comes with the car, as does some Signal Red touch-up paint.
