Although this 1973 Tartan Red MGB has had five former registered keepers from new, its current one, the vendor, has owned it for 24 years. He tells us that it has been regularly serviced and garaged when not in use. Modifications carried out include a Kenlowe fan, Lumenition ignition, halogen headlamps, elliptical rear springs, uprated heater, new alternator and radiator, and intermittent screen wipe.
The car was registered in April 1973 and currently shows 57,074 miles on its odometer.
The history folder includes the V5C, current MoT certificate ‑ valid until August 2022 ‑ and a large stack of bills from Colne Classics dating from 2022 back to 1998. These last show a service in August 2021 at 56,474 miles. Colne Classics also extensively restored the car during 1998, taking over 400 hours to do so at a cost of several thousand pounds. The work carried out, and the costs involved, are detailed in the paperwork file. A spare set of keys comes with the vehicle.
