Lot Number:
Estimate: £14,000 - 16,000
  • V5 Present
  • MoT Exempt
  • Chassis number: TRA429
The vendor purchased this Triumph in 1997 from a friend, who had owned the bus for 15 years prior to its sale. He tells us that the car has been stored undercover. According to the V5C, the car was registered in January 1940, but this must be an error, as the Roadster model wasn't launched until 1946. The chassis number of this one, TRA429, suggests it's a 1948 car. The mileage indicated on the odometer is 73,824.

The car's last MoT expired in June 2008, having been undertaken the year before at 73,146 miles, so the Triumph seems to have covered very few miles since then.

The paperwork file includes the V5C, a Triumph Roadster Club technical handbook for the model, the final 2015 tax disc for the car, and a single bill from 2003 for new door panels and a hood.
