This show‑winning Triumph TR4 was subject to a body‑off restoration some years ago, according to the vendor ‑ with reference to the history folder suggesting the work was carried out around the turn of the 21st century. It was previously owned by the secretary of one of the Triumph clubs. The vendor describes the car as in 'exceptional condition' and we'd concur with this; it has been very well looked after inside and out.

The Triumph was registered during September 1964 and has had just five previous registered keepers from new. As an historic vehicle, the TR4 no longer requires MoT testing; its last one expired in July 2018. The current odometer reading is 5649 miles.

The history folder contains the V5C, as well as the original buff logbook along with some photos of the body-off repaint. There's a large stack of invoices from throughout the 21st century testifying to many thousands spent on bringing the car up to the condition it is in today. There's also a TR Register magazine print-out on basic maintenance, a road test feature, CD-ROM of technical features and the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust production certificate (showing that the car started its life being white, the colour change to red came in 2001). The collection of MoT certificates date back to 2001, when the mileage was recorded as 1002, so we assume the odometer was reset when the car was restored. There's also two prize rosettes and a special award plaque from previous shows the Triumph attended.
