Lot Number:
Estimate: £3,500 - 4,500
  • MoT Sep 2022
  • Chassis number: 385153
This 1984 Jaguar XJ6 Series 3, in smart Antelope bronze with pepperpot alloys, was imported from South Africa in 2018, after being owned by a classic car hire place. However it wasn't registered here, so is thus still on South African plates. The NOVA import process is currently underway with the vendor though. He describes it as 'running and driving spot‑on'. The recorded mileage is 98,172 and the car has been given a British MoT, which is valid until September next year. Aside from the South African registration document, there is little paperwork to accompany the car.

Thanks to coming from a country with a somewhat more hospitable climate than the UK, this Jaguar is very well‑preserved, inside and out. The only significant flaw on the bodywork is some touch‑up paint on the peak of the inner nearside headlamp, while inside, the cream leather interior is in very good order. There is some cracking to the wood on the doors, but that on the dash still looks good.
