This more luxurious and better‑equipped Vanden Plas variant of the Austin Metro has been in a small private collection since 2005/6, which is also when it was last used on the road. It has just been recommissioned with a new battery, water pump, fan belt, tailgate struts and reconditioned front brake calipers with fresh pads, plus a fresh MoT until the end of May 2023. The vendor reports that the car 'drives very well'.

The odometer shows 27,520 miles, which is believed genuine. The vehicle was was registered in January 1983. Four former registered keepers are recorded.
