Lot Number:
Estimate: £25,000 - 35,000
  • V5 Present
  • MoT Exempt
  • Chassis number: 20051
This 1964 Jaguar E‑type has been owned by the vendor since 1981, but dry‑stored for several years, and is now being sold as a restoration project. The original head is included with the sale.

Although the car has a G‑registration plate (1968/69), both the V5C document and Jaguar Heritage Trust production record trace certificate show it as a 1964 car, built in October and registered in November of that year ‑ when it was Dark Blue rather than the British Racing Green it is today.

The paperwork file includes the V5C (showing just two former registered keepers) and a copy of the Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate. The mileage indicated on the odometer is 74,782 miles. There's also a handful of bills from 2002 and 2010 relating to paint, one from 2006 for an exchange brake caliper and brake disc, and some other invoices from 1991 for a sill panel and lower rear wing panel and some suspension items. There's also a lifetime guarantee and receipt for a stainless steel exhaust fitted in 1996.
