1968 Morris Minor 1000 Convertible
Lot Number: 274
Result inc Premium: £5,940
- V5 Present
- MoT Exempt
- Chassis number: MA2S5D1274781M
This Morris Minor convertible is a post‑factory conversion, having been professionally restored and then turned into an al fresco model from 2016 at a cost of £3500. All new parts were used, including the hood and frame, with new brakes, brake pipes, bushes and front chassis legs also fitted. The vendor is selling it because it has seen little use lately and he would like it to be properly enjoyed by another enthusiast.
The car was registered in July 1968 and now shows 49,326 miles on its odometer. Its last MoT expired in May 2011; as an historic vehicle, it no longer requires annual testing. Its mileage at that last test was shown as 48,824 miles.
The history folder includes the V5C, photos of the restoration, and a stack of invoices, mainly from ESM Morris Minors in East Sussex, dating from between 2016 to 2019 and largely chronicling parts used during the restoration and conversion.
