Lot Number:
Estimate: £8,000 - 12,000
  • V5 Present
  • MoT Exempt
  • Chassis number: GHN361769
This MG B Roadster was first registered by well‑known MG Dealer and Coachbuilder, Jarvis & Sons of Wimbledon, on the 14th May 1965. They were also approved agents for Downton Engineering and subsequently a stage I kit, with the latest 5 bearing crankshaft and push button door handles, was fitted. On the 18th May, the car was sold and registered to a mechanic of the dealership. In 1966 Jarvis & Sons had been acquired by the Mann Egerton Group and later in the same year the MG B was for sale. As the vendor was then regularly commuting to Norwich, he purchased the car and by this time it had covered around 20,000 miles. Two years later the vendor had married and following a house move, the car was taken off the road and stored in the garage. In 1971 the vendor had it stripped and repainted. After this time, the MG B was used sparingly for local shows and club meetings. During the vendor's fifty‑two year ownership, he has covered 34,000 miles and describes it as having been a delight to own. It comes with a list of factory and after market options fitted by the first owner and then the vendor, a few MoTs and receipts. It is sold with 54,433 warranted miles.
