This original matching numbers Land Rover, was first registered in 1971 and is one of the very first Series 3's ever built. It has a 55a chassis number and a very rare and collectable XC Solihull factory registration prefix. The vehicle had remained with it's three owners in Boston, Lincolnshire until it was purchased by the vendor in 2017 and was subject to full restoration over the following two and a half year period to a condition, described by the vendor, as concours. A detailed report of the rebuild is provided which confirms the vendor's attention to detail, time and commitment that have produced, what he believes, to be the best example available and challenges anyone to find a better one for sale. It's history file contains many original documents including Land Rover sales brochures, handbooks in the card wallet, unstamped passport, series 3 workshop manual, many MoTs dating from 1974 to 2000 when last issued, a letter from the second owner to the first owner's insurance company, an extensive file of invoices dated 2018 and 2019 and full restoration photo album.
