Photos courtesy of Martyn Goddard/Automobile Magazine. Purchased new by George Harrison and immediately dispatched to Strattons of Wilmslow, the pre‑merger official importers of AMG products, where it was subject to lowered suspension, fitted with uprated body‑kit, interior upgrades along with Penta alloys, all adding up to a cost in excess of £85,000. Mr Harrison covered around 30,000 miles during the following eighteen years before passing the car on to his good friend and percussionist, Ray Cooper. Following a four year period between 2013 and 2017, when the car was placed in storage, it has been subject to mechanical recommissioning and cosmetic refresh within the last twelve months costing around £10,000, this 61,000 mile example is only offered due to the change of direction of the collection it resides within. The history file includes the original service book containing nine stamps between 1984 and 2001, data card, DVLA letter confirming the car was first registered to George Harrison, MoTs dating from 1996 to 2007 and MoT history from 2006 to present, magazine articles from 2014 and 2017, copy older V5's, a few recent invoices and tax discs from 1997 to 2012.
