1981 FORD CAPRI 1.6L

The vendor acquired this Capri in 2022 when a full service and inspection was carried out. This included new oil, air and fuel filters, new plugs and HT leads, water pump, cambelt and tensioner. Compression was also tested, with around 140psi across all cylinders. The Capri, which was registered in July 1981, is showing five registered keepers overall, and has an MoT through to September 2023 although, as an historic vehicle, it is now MoT-exempt. The odometer now shows 15,535 miles, which is presumably 115,535 miles.  

The car was subject to a restoration by a previous owner which included a full body respray, new Tobacco Brown vinyl roof, and tyres. An engine rebuild was also completed with new big end bearings and piston rings. 

The car comes with a large history file including the V5C and original book pack with owner's handbook, radio instructions, dealership directory, operating guide, accessories guide and service book (stamped up to 28,430 miles in May 1983). There's also numerous MoT certificates, and invoices for servicing maintenance over the years including more recent restoration work.
