It is believed that less than a dozen or so of these straight-eight Buicks - the largest model made by the marque at the time - now survive, out of the 4159 Seven Passenger Sedans built in Flint, Michigan, during 1931. The car features the largest of Buick's three-engine range, a 5.7-litre straight-eight of 104bhp and 250lb/ft of torque, giving a top speed of 75mph.
This one has received major mechanical work including the cylinder head and clutch rebuilt, brakes overhauled, shock absorbers rebuilt, running boards replaced and door trim panels renewed. The vehicle was restored in 2009, after being brought to the UK in May 2007 from Newfoundland. The vendor describes the car as running and driving well with no issues. It was registered in the UK in March 2009, and has had just a single owner since then.
Accompanying the vehicle are the V5C, some research info on the model, and books, including ones on Buicks in general, a Fisher body manual, general workshop manual, and parts lists and catalogues. Spares with the vehicle include two wheels, a tyre removal brace, rear hub puller, oil filters, original heater for rebuilding, box of carburettor parts, box of shock absorber parts, and a box of assorted small parts.
