Sylva Autokits was founded in 1981 and developed and produced a number of small and lightweight sports cars, The Fury was launched in 1991 and sold to Fisher Sportscars in 1994. It used the Ford Escort MkII for its underpinnings; in the case of this example a 1.6-litre model registered in January 1978. The car was purchased with the intention of giving track day experiences to cancer sufferers, but the premature death of the owner halted this project. Being now classed as an historic vehicle, the Sylva no longer requires an MoT; its last expired on 28 March 2023 after having been tested the year before at an indicated 5499 miles. Current mileage is recorded as 5634 miles. The car has been unused since July 2022; thus the vendor suggests that it requires a fuel change before being used properly.
Documentation with the vehicle includes the current and past V5Cs, MoT certificates from 1997, 1998, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, an original brochure and a build manual. There's also a Haynes workshop manual for the Ford Escort MkII and a folder of bills and invoices back to the 1990s.
