This 1977 Ford Escort MkII, registered in March of that year, has been heavily modified with a Rover 3.5-litre V8 engine and Edelbrock carburettors to early track racing spec. Unfortunately, the premature death of the owner stopped the project, the intention of which was to give track day experiences to cancer sufferers. The Escort's last MoT expired in July 2021 and having spent time in storage, the vendor recommends that the fuel is changed before the car is run properly. The odometer shows 9974 miles, although this isn't warranted; however, the MoT history records around 3000 miles covered since 2017. The car has not been raced during since the the deceased owner acquired the car in September 2019.
The Escort - which was previously beige but changed to red in 1992 - is accompanied by by a comprehensive history folder with invoices and other paperwork stretching back to 1991. There's also the current and past V5C and MoT certificates from 1997, 2002 to 2004, 2007 to 2011 and 2017 to 2020, plus a spare set of keys with remote control fob.
