This 1970 Ford Cortina MkII has been modified into a Savage evocation (as designed and produced by Jeff Uren), with a 3.0-litre Ford V6 engine and gearbox. To cope with the extra power, it has also been upgraded with four-pot brakes. It was intended by the owner to give cancer sufferers a track day experience. Unfortunately, his premature death halted the project. The car was registered in June 1970 and is showing 714 miles on its odometer, although the speedometer was changed in after the 2020 MoT (which was carried out at an indicated 15,409 miles in September of that year; as the previous test indicated 83,885 miles in January 2019, this was probably 115,409 miles). It last MoT expired in February 2023, although as an historic vehicle, it no longer requires annual testing. The car has been stored since June 2021, but is described as running well with no known issues. Its colour is noted as being changed from blue to its current red in November 2018.
Documentation accompanying the vehicle includes the V5C, 2022 MoT certificate, Olyslager motor manual on the Cortina MkII, and a large stack of invoices and bills from recent years.
