This 2838cc Austin Champ was built for the military in 1953 and passed into civilian hands in July 1964 when it was reregistered. It was restored to its current condition in 2012 and has been shown at various rallies and shows. The front and rear axles have been fully rebuilt with new seals, gaskets, gaiters, wheel cylinders and brake pipes. The vehicle is described as running well, although it has been stored for the last two years. It has also recently been serviced as well, and newly undersealed front to rear with Tetroseal. The odometer shows 2549 miles, but a new speedometer has been fitted at some point. As an historic vehicle, the Austin is now MoT-exempt; its last expired in November 2021 after having been tested the previous year at 2404 miles. Three previous owners are registered on the V5C. Documentation accompanying the V5C includes the V5C, MoT certificate from 2020, and a booklet on the Champ in military service.
