1951 DAIMLER CONSORT
LOT 800
Estimate: £8,000 - £10,000
Result inc Premium: £5,940
- V5 present
- MoT exempt
- Chassis number: 57249
Registered in June 1951, this stately Daimler Consort has spent the last 20 years with one lady owner, during which much money has been spent on it. This includes a full respray during October 2011. The interior has been left largely original save for the carpet, and the vehicle retains its original toolkit. The car runs and drives, and has been regularly displayed at shows. Its odometer shows 05317 miles, although as it has shown this at MoTs since 2007, it is likely that its odometer is stuck. As an historic vehicle, the Daimler is now MoT-exempt; its last expired in October 2013. Five registered keepers are recorded by the V5C.
The vehicle comes with a comprehensive history file that includes the V5C, workshop, gearbox and service data manuals, a record of work done from 2003 to 2013, show appearances, photos of the respray, old tax discs, MoT certificates back to 1994, and invoices. There are also Daimler Lanchester Owners' Club magazines and other assorted paperwork.
