Our vendor describes this V8-engined Rover P6 3500S as a matching numbers example that has covered just 7000 miles in the past 29 years. The current mileage indicated by the odometer is 37,944 miles. The original Passport to Service that accompanies the car shows that it was supplied new by Raymond Mays and Partners Ltd, a famous name in British motor racing history with its links to BRM and ERA. The service book has 10 stamps up to 27,462 miles in 1977. Its date of registration was November 1972 and it has an MoT valid to April 2024 (although, as an historic vehicle, it no longer requires annual testing). Recent work has included a new three-part clutch, battery, brake callipers, rear shock absorbers and oil service. Extras on the car include Lucas auxiliary lamps, stainless steel exhaust and bootlid spare wheel carrier.
Paperwork accompanying the Rover includes the V5C, the current and old MoT certificates, period brochure, owner's manual, Passport to Service and some invoices.
