The vendor, who has owned this 1980 MGB GT for four years, tells us that it has had a considerable amount of money spent on it during the last 2000 miles, including the carburettors stripped and overhauled with new gaskets and seals. The car, which was driven to the sale from Newark - a trip of around 70 miles - with no issues was registered in August 1980 and is now showing (10)5733 miles on its odometer. Its last MoT expired in July 2022, after testing at an indicated (10)5102 miles; however, as an historic vehicle, the MG is now exempt from annual testing. The vendor reports that the car runs well, although the operation of the overdrive can be intermittent due to a suspected wiring fault. It has received various bits of restoration over a period of years, and a Fast Road camshaft is fitted. Accompanying the MGB are its current and previous V5Cs, MoT certificates, and a substantial stack of invoices. There's also the original book pack with driver's handbook and other new car documentation plus a British Leyland workshop manual and an MG Owners' Club parts catalogue. A set of spare keys comes with the car as well.
