1947 BENTLEY MKIV ESTATE 

This unusual Bentley MkVI was originally purchased new by the CEO of electronics, defence and telecommunications conglomerate Plessey. It was registered in May 1947. After two years, it had the current woody shooting brake body fitted by an unknown coachbuilder. During the long hot summer of 1976, the door panels warped and never went back fully flat. The car was hand-painted in 1991 and had a new clutch fitted in 2001. It has been in constant use for years, but recent ones have only seen minimal use. The odometer shows 91,088 miles and its last MoT expired in April 2013, after being tested the year before at an indicated 90,301 miles. However, as an historic vehicle, the Bentley is now MoT-exempt. 

The car is described by the vendor as running and driving, with working brakes. The vendor has owned it since June 1970; hence the V5C shows just a single owner since computerisation of the DVLA's records. Paperwork with the Bentley includes the V5C, V5 and green continuation logbook. There's also some old tax discs, invoices and MoT certificates back to 1974 along with a spare set of keys.
