The vendor describes this MGB Roadster as a highly original example with a rare Bermuda hard top in addition to its good condition beige soft top and tonneau cover. The wire wheels were factory-fitted. The car spent 20 years in the dry Department Des Deux-Sevres in France between 2001 and 2021 and has had four owners including the vendor since 2021, with the previous owner registered since 1998. While built in July 1980, the car wasn't registered until March 1981, marking it out as a final production year example. A restoration was carried out in 2000 including new doors and fuel tank, with Waxoyl cavity and chassis injection sealing. The odometer shows circa 36,700 miles, this is actually 136,700 miles verified by the history. The last MoT expired in Sept 2023 after being tested the year before at an indicated 36,489 miles. However, as an historic vehicle, the MG is now MoT-exempt.

The car has not been used since August 2023 and, although it starts and runs, on collection the clutch failed to work and it is sold with it requiring attention  Recent work before then included a new starter motor, battery and rear road springs. K&N ‘Pancake’ filters, uprated needles and electronic ignition are among its upgrades.

The history includes the current and past V5Cs and registration documents, the original Passport to Service, and an extensive stack of invoices dating back to when the car was new. There's also MoT certificates, a Heritage Certificate, the driver's handbook, MG Practical and Technical Tips booklet and a workshop manual, along with French paperwork and copies of all re-importation documents proving UK legality.
