1966 MORRIS MINI COOPER S

It is understood that this Mini has been in storage for several years. As is often the case with classics of this age, at some time in the past the car was re-shelled using a later 1971 shell, whilst still retaining its original 1966 Cooper S running gear. Purchased by our vendor about three years ago who, in the process of updating the V5 in his name fell foul of the Swansea bureaucratic whirlpool, the upshot of which is that its original 1966 registration number has been cancelled, it has been issued with a new DVLA chassis number - DVLASWA3972414203. As such, it will require re-registering and once done will be issued with a ‘Q’ registration. Despite the above, this classic Mini does offer the new purchaser an exciting project or valuable source of spares. The engine was running two years ago although the clutch was stuck and the exhaust has a blow.
