1974 DAIMLER DOUBLE SIX AUTO
This 5343cc V12-engined Daimler Double Six auto saloon has been subject to total restoration, which was completed in 2010 at a cost of £40,000. The car resided in the UK until 1983 when it was purchased by the then owner and taken to Jersey. He used the car for 15 years and in 1998 commenced the restoration which lasted over twelve years. It is finished in Signal Red and during the restoration, its interior was changed from blue to cream leather piped with red. It would appear the owner retained the car until 2016 before passing it to another Jersey resident; it returned to the UK in 2018. In 1983 its UK MoT recorded mileage was 40,600, in 2009 it was at 56,400 and its current reading is 71,084. A few blemishes have appeared on the car but overall it remains in very good condition. After two years of being in storage, it was MoT'd earlier in 2024 (valid until January 2025) even though, as an historic vehicle, it no longer requires annual testing. The car's date of registration was May 1974 and five registered keepers are recorded.
It comes with a large history file containing an extensive restoration record including photos and receipts, various MoTs, receipts and documents, 2019 bill of sale to the last registered owner and original handbooks and wall chart.
