The last registered keeper of this MGB purchased it in 1982 and had it restored in 1987 with Peter Burgess gas-flowed 1892cc 120bhp engine and Tim Kelly close ratio BGT V8 gear set in original gearbox with overdrive inhibitor removed (thus giving an eight-speed transmission), 3,1:1 differential, 72-spoke wire wheels, glassfibre bodyshell, Magnetronic ignition, electronic fuel pump and vented discs. There was further work in 2017 including a new interior and Mohair hood. The colour is noted as being changed from green in 2013. It has recently had new copper brake, clutch and fuel pipes, stainless steel exhaust and fuel tank. The car was first registered in January 1969 but then imported to Jersey and then brought back to the UK. Its odometer shows 47,584 miles although a new calibrated speedo was fitted in 1987. The MG is described as running and driving well with a recent 1100-mile road trip to France. Paperwork includes the V5C, MoT certificates from 2015 and 2016, Motorola radio receipt and invoices for a full service and the new interior. There's also an issue of the MG Owners' Club magazine from March 2025 with a one-page write-up on the car.
