1958 HILLMAN MINX DE-LUXE

This 1390cc Hillman Minx Series II Deluxe in Seafoam Green and Pearl Grey was registered in September 1958 and has five registered keepers shown on its V5C. Its odometer shows 33,433 miles and its last MoT expired in July 2013 after being tested the previous year at an indicated 32,779 miles. However, as an historic vehicle, the Minx no longer requires annual testing. The speedometer was changed circa 2004 so the actual mileage is around 38,433 miles; this is supported by the accompanying history file; between 1981 and 1999 the car spent most of its time in storage and has had only limited use since then. It is in very good original condition inside and out and drives well (albeit with clutch fluid pressure being lost if the pedal is depressed for extended periods; in normal use, the column change works just as it should). The vendor also notes a slight weep from the slave cylinder - a new one, with seals, comes with the car. Paperwork includes the V5C and past V5, period brochure, photocopy of original log book, MoTs back to 1981, and then from 1989 through to 2012, assorted invoices and the owner's manual and the service booklet. There's also some rally/show plaques plus spare keys.
