1947 VAUXHALL 14 HP

This 1947 Vauxhall 14HP has been family-owned from new, bought from Harvey Hudson & Co Ltd of South Woodford, Essex and registered in June 1947. It was used for local trips in Essex and days out in Norfolk when visiting relations. The odometer reading of 40,155 is declared genuine. The car has spent every night in either the house garage or in the larger workshop and never been away from its original ‘home’ until arriving at this auction. It was parked up in dry storage in the early 1960s and not been used since. It does run with an auxiliary fuel supply and new points, condenser, rotor arm, distributor cap and ignition coil have been fitted. The clutch is stuck however and there are no brakes save for the handbrake. The paintwork is original and there's been no welding ever carried out. Two keys come with the vehicle. The V5C shows two registered keepers. Paperwork includes the V5C, the original buff logbook, a copy of the old V5, invoices for the recent ignition parts, Harvey Hudson service book and a Motorine log book for records and other useful information.
